# Tracking platforms

> Genseo measures prompts on ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and AI Overviews. Compare how answers differ by platform over time.

Genseo runs prompt tracking against the **product platforms** your plan enables. Results are stored per prompt and per platform so you can compare how answers differ.

## Supported product platforms

| Platform | What it reflects |
| - | - |
| **ChatGPT** | OpenAI assistant-style answers for your prompt |
| **Gemini** | Google Gemini responses |
| **AI Overviews** | Google AI Overview style results where available |

Tracking is **scheduled** for ongoing monitoring. Platform availability and model mix can depend on your plan and Genseo's provider configuration.

## Compare platforms

Do not assume one platform's winner matches all others. A brand strong in ChatGPT may be absent in AI Overviews. Use platform breakdowns on prompt detail and overview charts to decide where to invest.

## Not the same as the Genseo ChatGPT app

* **Prompt tracking platforms** = engines Genseo queries to measure visibility.
* **[Genseo ChatGPT app](/developers/chatgpt)** = OAuth connector so *you* talk to Genseo inside ChatGPT.

Both can include ChatGPT in name, but one is measurement infrastructure and one is your user interface in OpenAI's product.
