# AI visibility

> Genseo AI visibility (AEO/GEO): daily prompt tracking, mention and citation trends, and competitor share on ChatGPT, Gemini, and AI Overviews.

AI Visibility is Genseo's **primary product** (AEO/GEO). It answers: for the prompts that define your category, does AI mention your brand, cite your site, and prefer you over competitors?

## What you measure

### How often are prompts tracked?

Genseo runs tracked prompts on a recurring schedule as part of the product. You do not need to manually re-run every prompt for day-to-day monitoring. On-demand runs from agents or the API may use quota; see your plan.

### What is the difference between mentions and citations?

A mention is your brand appearing in the answer text. A citation is a specific URL or domain the model lists as a source. You can be mentioned weakly while competitors' pages get cited.
